Her life story was truly unique. Lori-Anne Delaney was born to Cindy Frost and Dennis “Jim” Delaney on March 2, 1988. Together, Cindy with Lori’s godmother, Darlene Mackenzie, shaped her early years. Lori-Anne will be deeply missed by her best friend and father, Jim. Together they were like two peas in a pod. In his time of heartbreak and grief, he will remember the only reason he has such an empty space is because he was truly blessed with a child who loved him so beautifully and occupied his entire world.
Lori adopted/created a circle of love with her cousins, designating Buffy as her mother and Katie, Ashley, Lyndsay, Jennifer, Jessie and Holly as her sisters. At the centre of this circle was her rock, Ann Marie.
Left to carry on her legacy of love are her special nieces and nephews, Brayden, Emma, Cheyanne and Adam. A void will be left in the lives of Lori’s brothers, Eric (Yolanda) and Justin (Mikaela) and special sister, Jessica. Lori will also be missed by Kenzie MacKenzie.
A huge part of Lori’s happiness included her many aunts and uncles, Carol (Ron) Davison, Howie Centre, Deacon (Elaine), Mira Road, Noreen (Frank) White, Dartmouth, Reggie (Heather), Sydney, Ron (Cindy), Sydney, Cathy Delaney, Sydney, Arlene Delaney, Sydney, Germie (Nancy), Belle Cote, Vernon (Debbie), Mira, Theresa (John) MacNeil, Sydney River and Coleen (Paul) Young, Sydney.
Lori will now continue her journey in heaven with Aunt Connie, Aunt Elaine and special cousin, Cory.
Our Lori was a living example of acceptance shown by the many different pockets of friends who shared in her love of adventure. No one loved like she did. She found humour in everything and brought everyone around her so much joy. People were simply drawn to her “light”. Those who knew Lori knew of her willingness to help others, do anything for a laugh, her love of Margaree, good haircuts, anything rainbow and her closet full of plaid.
To all of her friends, Lori’s song may have ended but her melody will live on in each and every one of you who loved her, especially LJ MacLean and family.
A family is a circle of love, not broken by a loss but made stronger by memories.
“Don’t worry dear; I’ll have my people contact your people.” We loved you like plaid Lori.
In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that you take a moment to hug those you love, tell them you love them and cherish every moment.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
