Obituary for
Loretta Mauro
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Loretta Mauro of Edmonton on November 19, 2021 at the age of 83.
Loretta is survived by her children, Aurelia, Mark and Michael; her grandchildren, Jonathan and Justin; and her sister, Iva Beck of Saskatoon.
Loretta is pre-deceased by her husband of 55 years, Aurelio Franco “Frank” Mauro; parents, Amelia (Brost) and Edward Stang; and thirteen siblings.
Loretta‘s priority in her life was her husband, children, grandchildren and extended family. She was always there to help anyone. She was a devout Roman Catholic who joyfully provided volunteer services at her home parishes. She began her career as a secretary and retired as a professional purchasing manager at the Cross Cancer Clinic.
A private funeral mass and interment will be presided by Father Andrew at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. To view the livestream of the service visit www.parkmemorial.com and select Webcasting on Loretta’s Book of Memories.

The family would like to thank management and staff, and Loretta‘s dear friends at the Château Mission Lodge for all the joy and laughter they shared during her stay.
The family appreciates the kind and professional care given to Loretta by the management, doctors, nurses and other employees at the Cross Cancer clinic and the Sturgeon Community Hospital Foundation St. Albert.
A special thanks to Dr. Warren Matthew Shenkenfelder, Loretta‘s family physician.
