Obituary of Loran Leslie Hayden
Hayden, Loran Leslie – 76, of Hillsburn, passed away October 25, 2021, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born March 24, 1945, in Annapolis Royal, he was the son of the late Frank Leslie Hayden and Vivian Ruth (Ring) Kaye.
Loran was a devoted husband and father, who was always ready to lend a hand. He was a fisherman by trade, who later became a fish buyer. He enjoyed visits from the children, family and friends. Always had candy for the little ones and a drink for the big ones. He liked growing fresh vegetables as long as he was able to, and took daily drives with his wife, Sandra right up his final days. He relished his Daughter in-laws and truly enjoyed their company, and always had a word of advice for his sons. He was a good man who always put others before himself.
Loran is survived by his wife, Sandra (Sabean); sons, Loran ‘John’ (Naomi), Frank (Tina), Ralph (Kemberley); grandchildren, Nathaniel, Leeanne, Jarod, Brittany, Shianne, Timothy; six great grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy and Phillis; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his step father, John “Ellsworth” Kaye; siblings, Evelina, Elizabeth, Frank, Alvin, Nita, Susan; great granddaughter, Trenidy.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. There will be no service by request. Donations in Loran’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Online condolence may be made at www.kaulbachfamilyfuneralhome.com
