Long David 2021

Long, David
David William Long
September 13th, 1945 – November 16th, 2021
David will be dearly missed by his wife Betty of 51 years.
His children Jonathan (Kristal), Michelle and Monica.
He was a loving grandfather to Jonathan, Aundrea, Alyssa, and Samantha
and a great grandfather to Ethan.
David’s love for his family was evident in every day of his life.
David’s love of God was witnessed throughout his whole life by his example,
lived through his commitment to serving his God, his faith community and by his friends and family.
There was never a job being done where you would not find David helping.
Illness may have taken his earthly body but certainly not his life,
his life lives on for all eternity as he is joined with his Saviour.
Special thanks to his home care team of nurses, doctors and compassionate caregivers
who made it possible for David’s wish to stay at home be granted.
Special thanks to friends and family who supported them all on this journey with the disease of Cancer.
A private family service and committal will take place.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Huyck’s Bay Campground & Conference Centre in early Spring.
