Obituary of Lois Isabella Allan
Lois Isabella Allen (nee Johnston) was born March 10, 1926 in Rouleau, SK and passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 at age 95. Lois was raised on a peony farm outside Wilcox and attended school at Wilcox where she met her husband Gary. She travelled the world: USSR and China in the 70’s, as well as several European trips. She loved art and attended some of the world’s finest galleries. She enjoyed gardening and bridge. She was a lifelong learner who took classes as a senior through U of R. Lois was a kindergarten teacher for 35+ years and always remained a teacher at heart. Lois’ family want to thank the College Park staff for their exceptional care; they became family to Lois and treated her accordingly. Lois was predeceased by her husband Gary; sisters Marcella Pavely (Peter) and Ruth Andrews (Jack), brothers Arthur (Hazel) Johnston and Howard (Neoma) Johnston; brothers-in-law Thomas and Grant Allen, and sister-in-law Grace Newell (Richard). She is survived by her two sons James (Dianne) and their two children Abby and Dylan, and by Thomas (Elizabeth) and their two children Townes and Sophie; and her two special grandchildren Sara (Ryan) and Chelsey (Shane). She is also survived by her brother Dale (Joan) Johnston, and many nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will take place at a later date in Wilcox, SK. Flowers and donations gratefully declined.
