Lois Evelyn Miller nee Hayes 1922 2021

Obituary of Lois Evelyn Miller (nee Hayes)
Lois “Bunny” Evelyn Miller (nee Hayes) passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 20, 2021 in Kingston, Ontario with family at her side at the age of 98. Predeceased by her husband Norman (Eddie) Miller and daughter Debbie Miller. Sadly missed by her daughter Dawna (Dalton) Cote, grandchildren Erin (Grayson) and Jesse, and her great granddaughter Ella. The last of her generation of the Hayes family, she leaves many nieces and nephews who fondly remember her as Aunt Bun.
She was born in 1922 in Shawville, Quebec and attended nursing school in Ottawa, Ontario. Married in 1945, she and Eddie spent most of their lives living throughout Canada, life in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Bunny enjoyed a career in nursing and fulfilled her passion for music becoming a much beloved piano teacher. Bunny and Eddie retired in Calgary, Alberta but it was not long before they returned home, first living in Ottawa, before eventually settling in Kingston to be close to family. Her twinkling eyes, smile and sense of humour will always be remembered and missed.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at the Helen Henderson nursing home, Amherstview, Ontario, for the professional, dedicated and loving care they provided over the last eight years and especially during the last few weeks.
There will be a family ceremony later in the year. Donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Lois
