Obituary
Lois Anderson passed away peacefully on January 7, 2021 at the age of 95.
Mom was born on December 27, 1925 on a farm in Gunworth, SK. She went to school in Gunworth and finished her high school in Rosetown. After school, Mom worked as a telephone operator and married Dad in 1948.
Mom’s life centred around her family and her friends. She had a wonderful circle of friends including the Ridpath Ladies Club, dance club and her bridge pals. Mom was also the glue that held our family together, she was always there for a hug, some advice or a hot meal. We all remember Sunday dinners, either at home or in the field during harvest time. She was a fabulous cook and a good friend to all.
Mom was predeceased by her husband Bob, her second husband Tom Burt and her sisters Emily and Joy. She is survived by her brother Bob, her children Garry (Jeannette), Judy (Brent), Laurie (Marc); grandchildren Michelle (Logan), Kelly (Lesley), Mark, Adam, Simon, Anne and Henry and great-grandchildren Mason, Clarissa, Charlie and Caleb.
Our family would like to express our most heartfelt thanks to the staff at Rose Villa, who cared for mom as a family member over the past years. In Mom’s memory, we ask that donations be made to the Activity Fund at Rose Villa (Heartland Health Region (Rosetown & District Health Centre Long Term Care Centre Activity Fund), P.O. Box 653, Rosetown, SK S0L 2V0).
