Obituary of Lloyd Gibbons
Lloyd Gibbons of Owen Sound passed away unexpectedly at London Victoria Hospital, on Saturday, September 25th, 2021. Born in Shallow Lake Ont. on January 22nd, 1942, Austin Lloyd Gibbons was in his 80th year.
Beloved husband and best friend of Linda Gibbons (nee Rowe) for 54 years. Loving father of Lloyd Gibbons (Kat) of Owen Sound, Sherry Gibbons (Tim Nuhn) of Markdale. Cherished grandfather of Ryan (Rebecca), Skye, Calvin and step-grandfather of Darryl, Bryor and Devon. He is also survived by his 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Lloyd will be missed by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Edgar and Annie Gibbons (nee Adams) and his brother, Randy Gibbons.
A visitation for friends and family will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492 on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 6 – 8 pm. A private family graveside service will be held with interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations to the Salvation Army Food Bank, the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated and may be made through the funeral home.
