It is with great sorrow and broken hearts that the family of Lisa Jayne Poole announce her unexpected and sudden passing, at the age of 52 years, December 11, 2021, in her home in Cambridge, Ontario.
Born on July 19, 1969, in Sarnia, ON, Lisa spent her childhood growing up in Poole, ON. As a lover of music, Lisa was an accomplished pianist and possessed a creative and artistic mind. She always had entertaining stories to share and loved to make people smile. Lisa adored the beach and the ocean and could never get enough of the water.
Throughout her life, Lisa was many things, a daughter, a granddaughter, a niece, a cousin, and a friend. The title Lisa cherished and was most proud of was “Mom”. Lisa adored being called “Mommy” by the two loves of her life, her precious daughters, Amanda and Monica (Sukhpreet). Predeceased by her loving parents, Laverne & Mary Ann Poole. Lisa also leaves behind her cherished Aunts Beatrice Poole, Irene (Albert) Leis, Maureen (Harvey) Zher (deceased), and Uncle Morris Brunk.
A creative and sometimes misunderstood woman, Lisa never let that stop her from living her best life. As a free-spirited soul, an imaginative woman, and the “Queen” of her daughters’ hearts, she leaves a void that can only be caused by someone as brilliant as her. A resourceful woman, Lisa always found a way to make the best of every situation. Lisa’s selflessness and generosity extended beyond just people, she cared and took in animals in need. She was giving, even when she had little to give. Lisa’s kindness and selflessness was anchored by her love and faith in God which guided her throughout her life.
One can never be ready for the loss of a mother, but the trauma of such an unexpected loss has shaken her daughters immensely as they start a journey through life without Lisa by their side. Her love for her daughters knew no bounds and she always made sure to let Amanda and Monica know how proud she was of them both. Lisa’s loss leaves a huge hole in their hearts. They will especially miss her smile, her warm hugs, her late-night texts and hearing her voice when she called them. They will even miss her love of the 80’s and how she enjoyed embarrassing them by insisting on doing her make-up and dressing in that style. The reflection of her legacy and love will live on through her loving daughters who will continue to be reminded of their unique bond with every flutter of a butterfly.
Lisa’s family will receive relatives and friends from 12:30 p.m. – 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022. Memorial Service to follow at 1:30 p.m. at Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener. Please note that if you plan to attend, masks are mandatory and you must RSVP your attendance through the funeral home website or by calling (519) 749-8467. Lisa’s family will hold an interment at Poole Mennonite Church Cemetery at a later date, where she will be reunited with her loving parents.
To honor Lisa’s selfless and unbiased giving nature, the family would like to give back to the community and those who need it most. Donations to Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region-Anselma House & Haven House would be appreciated by her daughters and family (cards available at the funeral home).
