Lisa Marie Dawdy-Kennette March 6 2021

B. Mus(Performance), B. Ed (Music)
Passed away courageously at home on Sunday, December 27, 2020 in the sweet and loving arms of her daughter Jessica. Cherished sister of Marsha (Simon) Schofield. Proud and adored Aunt of Brody. Lisa is reunited with her parents; the late Raymond (2001) and Rose (1996) Dawdy. She will be sadly missed by her Aunt Emily & Uncle George. Lisa leaves many special memories with her cousins Heather & Lee Windsor as well as many faithful and supportive extended family members.
She was a graduate of Paris District High School and the University of Western Ontario. Lisa was proud to be a part of the Educational staff of the W. Ross MacDonald School where she worked as a Music Specialist for 25 years. She was the co-conductor and founder of both the Brant County Youth Singers and the Brant Choral Music Academy. Lisa enjoyed several years as the accompanist for her father as he directed the Brant Men of Song and found great joy as a vocalist in the Tudor Singers. She inspired many students as an Independent Music Teacher and will remain in the hearts of the congregation of the Bethel Stone United Church where she shared her talents as their music director.
Friends will be received at the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King Street, Burford, Ontario on Saturday March 13, 2021 from 1-4 p.m. A private family service will be held. As expressions of sympathy donations in Lisa’s memory may be made to W. Ross MacDonald School for the Blind Music Program, Bethel Stone United Church or Juravinski Cancer Centre Foundation.
