Obituary of Linda Lawrence
We regretfully announce the passing of Linda Lawrence(Lynch), age 74, of New Glasgow, NS on Feb 20, 2021.
Linda was surrounded by her loved ones and passed away peacefully.
Linda was one of the kindest, strongest, most courageous, bravest, women to ever walk this earth and our family was blessed to have her in our lives.
Linda was passionate about baseball from a very young age and participated in it countlessly over many years. She was an avid player until she could no longer run the bases and was content to watch her favorite team, the Blue Jays, from the comfort of her home.
She had a great love affair and talent for playing crib, which she loved to play every chance she could and cherished the time she spent playing with her many friends and family alike.
Linda had an amazing sense of humor that knew little boundaries. Even in her death, she kept us all laughing and smiling through our tears as she proceeded to tell her palliative care doctor to
“Read her lips” and to “Martin UP!”
She was a wonderful and loving Mother, Grandmother(Nan), Sister, Aunt, and Friend who gave her all to her family and those she considered family.
“Blood” relations didn’t mean much to her if you needed help, in any way, you were her “family”. Linda was everyone’s “Mom”…she was our biggest cheerleader and constant supporter.
Above all else, for her, it was “Family First” and She loved her “family” unconditionally. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her.
Linda requested no services be held and that her ashes be spread.
In her honour, we invite all to please feel free to share your pictures, memories, comments and thoughts.
In lieu of flowers, any donation towards her final expenses can be made in her honor to:
