Obituary of Linda Cavell Coleman
Coleman, Linda Cavell
Apr 10, 1954 – June 11, 2021
Surrounded by the love of her family Linda (Lin) Coleman (nee Cross) passed away peacefully after a very brief stay in the palliative care ward of the Annapolis Royal Hospital. Beloved wife of James (Jim) Coleman. Mother of Dylan Hudson (Sara), Joshua Coleman (Laura) and Alan Coleman (Sherry). Grandmother to Kaylin Coleman.
Lin is predeceased by her father, Guy Cross, her mother Vivian Cross (Giffin) and her brother-in-law Randy Cummings.
She will be lovingly remembered and missed by siblings Ronald Cross (Lynda), Robert Cross (Pat), and Donna Cummings as well as by nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Lin was born in Annapolis Royal and has been a Valley girl ever since. She graduated from Middleton Regional High School. She worked briefly for the Halifax County Regional School Board. Then returned home to work in the offices of Casey Fisheries, O’Neil Fisheries, Britex Elastic Fabrics and the Annapolis Valley Regional Housing Authority.
In her brief retirement Lin loved reading, especially reading in the solitude of her cabin on Grand Lake Flowage. She loved her Pug dog (Zoe) and her cat (Gracie). She loved haddi bits and chips from Pearles and shopping at Frenchies. She was a great cook who kept and still prepared recipes handed down from her Central European ancestors.
Cremation has already taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. A family and friends memorial will be held when Covid-19 restrictions allow. On line condolences may be sent at www.kaulbachfamilyfuneralhome.com
