Lillian Foster Vail 1937 2021

Obituary of Lillian Foster Vail
It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Lillian Vail, 84, of Coles Island, NB on July 9, 2021. Born in Wickham on July 23, 1937, she was the youngest daughter to the late Ira & Olive (Foster) Webster.
Lillian and Harold purchased their gas and convenience store (Vail’s General Store) in 1964. After Harold passed away in 2007, she continued operating the store, until her death, with the support of Robert, Ruth and her family. Her commitment to the business and getting to see her customers and neighbors in the community each day, was her greatest drive to continue working every day. She will be missed in the community.
Lillian is survived and sadly missed by her daughter: Catherine (Gerald) Morse of White Head, and her son’s: Ronald (Donna) Vail of Sus Corner, Malcolm (Shelley) Vail of Berwick, Robert (Ruth) Vail of Coles Island, Douglas (Diane) Vail of Moncton, along with her 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Lillian was predeceased by her husband Harold Vail, her brother Alden Webster, and 2 sisters: Pauline Perry and Alice Ferris.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus, NB (506-433-1176). Due to Covid-19, all arrangements will be held privately.
If desired, donations to the Coles Island Cemetery, Heart & Stroke Foundation, or the IWK would be appreciated by the family.
