Obituary
Lillian Mae Sturge, passed peacefully away at the age of 76 years on Saturday November 20, 2021 after a long courageous battle with breast cancer.
She is predeceased by her husband: Eric; son: Shawn; parents: Alex and Dorcas Anthony; sister: Hilda.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Joan (Woodrow) Carter, Cindy (Greg) Bragg, Kim (Craig) Watson, Renee (Ron) Dustan, Glen (Cindy) Sturge; grandchildren; Gregory, Justin, Krystle, Kerri Lynne, Alexander, Tyler, Jerry, Jordan; great grandchildren: Hunter and Noah Delaney, as well as a great grandson on the way; sister: Sarah Anthony. Also leaving to mourn many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Special thank you to all the staff at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, specifically the nursing staff of 1 North South for their care and compassion. Thank you to her church family at Salvation Army Citadel, especially Ernest Budgell for his constant visits to her.
Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Tuesday November 23, 2021 from 1:00-5:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday November 24 at 2:00pm from the Salvation Army Citadel, Adams Avenue. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road. Flowers gratefully accepted by the family or donations may be made in Lillian’s memory to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.
