Léonide “Léo” St Georges
The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury, Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at the age of 76 years. Son of the late Omer and late Clorilda (née Lapierre) St Georges. Beloved husband of 55 years to Annette (née Audette) St Georges. Loving father of Joanne (Michel Doiron), Sue (Tom Loiselle), Yvon (Krista), and Léo (Nicole). Cherished grandfather of Natalie, Michel, Joël, Stéphanie, Alysha, Courtney, Bryanna, Alec, Kérine and great-grandfather of 11. Dear brother of Marguerite Giroux (André), André (late Adéline), Reina Bazinet (late Aurel), Colombe St-Amour (Gilles), Jeanne d’Arc Lagrois (Denis), Lucie St. Clair (Denis), Greg (Barb), Colette Brosseau (Jacques), and Gisèle Audette (Maurice). Predeceased by his siblings Laurette Gauthier (late Arthur), Alcida (late Murielle), Roger, Elise Plante, Lorraine Cudergan (Ed) and Diane Audette (Roger). Sadly missed by his dog Bella, and by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends. Léo was a hardworking man driving his transport from a very young age. Along with his wife, they enjoyed entertaining and playing music, a passion they shared with their children and grandchildren. Léo was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree Council 112255. Due to the current pandemic a private scheduled visitation and private service will be held at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Sudbury at 8 p.m. via Zoom.
