Leona’s Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Leona Estley Jane Watkins, age 65 of Comfort Cove/Newstead, who passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, October 14th, 2021 at the Notre Dame Memorial Health Center, Twillingate, NL.
Leona was an active member of the Salvation Army Home League for many years. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.
Leona is predeceased by her father Bennett Fudge and left to mourn are her mother Thelma Fudge, husband Raymond Watkins, daughters Tonya, Romona, Roxanne, 13 siblings Mervin (Glenda), Cleophas, Bob (Goldie), Gerald (Sandra), Benny (Tracey), Quincy (Rosalyn), Jim (Vicky), Gayla (Craig), Kathy (Morgan),Alvina (Ken), Ruth (Morley), Darlene (Melvin), Valerie, 5 grandchildren Kelsey, Tamara, Kianna, Andrew, Nikita, 1 great-grandchild Teela, plus a large circle of nieces and nephews.
Public visitation to take place at Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home on Saturday, October 16th, 2021 from 2-5pm following Covid government regulation. Funeral Service will be for family and invited guest only.
As expressions of sympathy, flowers or donations to the family can be dropped of to Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home.
