Obituary
Leona Ouellette (née Darcy) passed away suddenly on January 11, 2021, at the age of 78. Dedicated wife, mother, and Nanny; she treasured every moment with her family. Born in Sheenboro, QC into a large and loving, musically gifted, Irish Catholic family, she remained a devout Catholic and an avid volunteer, notably at the Ottawa Grace Manor, until her passing. All who knew her will miss her love of family and friends, her Irish sense of humour, and her willing spirit.
Loving wife of 45 years to the late Denis Ouellette, beloved mother of Lynn Paquette (Dave) and Guy (Krista Corneil), and cherished Nanny of Tyler Paquette (Maxime), Brianna, Brendan Paquette, Connor, Ryan and Cara.
She is also survived by her brother Cecil Darcy (Helen) and her sister Mary Beggan (Tom) as well as her sisters-in-law Thérèse Denis and Lucille Frame, and her brother-in-law Jean. She is predeceased by her parents Patrick and Mary Darcy, her sisters Doreen McGuire (Sylvester), Claire Foley, Teresa Morris (Fred), Patricia and Helen Chalifour (Dennis), and her brothers Dennis (Audrey), Clarence (Noreen), Joe (Rita), Harold (Cathy), Dominic (Noellie) and Arnold. She will also be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews as well as her friends.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a small private family service will be held. A memorial and burial will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County would be appreciated.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Leona Darcy Ouellette September 14 1942 January 11 2021 (age 78)..
