Obituary
The family of Leon Joseph Hebert are deeply saddened to announce his passing which occurred on November 2, 2021, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on June 26, 1933, in Rexton, NB, he was the son of the late Charles and Madeline Mary (Perry) Hebert.
He had been employed with District #8 School Board retiring in 1994.
He is survived by his sons; Michael and Gerald (Rachel), his special friend Karen Davidson, his brother Charles, sisters; Freda Ward and Mina Richard, grandchildren; Bradley, Haley and Rae Lynn along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he is predeceased by his brothers; Earl, Joseph Zoel, Norman and Adlard and sisters; Isabel Vautour, and Eva Maloney.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Following cremation, the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Friday, November 5, 2021, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Due to COVID-19 health measures placed on indoor gatherings, all those attending the service will be required to wear masks and show proof of vaccination with a piece of government issued ID. Donations in memory of Leon may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
