Lenora Hilliker Slaght Friday April 2nd 2021

Lenora Hilliker (nee Slaght) passed away peacefully on Friday, April 2, 2021 at her home in Tillsonburg with family by her side. Predeceased by her husband Billy (2010). Much loved mother to Brian Hilliker and his wife Jane and Laurie Legein and her husband Marty. Dearest grandmother to Nathan (Katie), Carter (Stephanie), Catie (Kyle), Brodie (Kerry), Brett (Michelle) and Travis (Alicia), as well as great grand children Solena, Hayley, Capri and Caden. Lenora graduated as a nurse from the Brantford General Hospital and worked at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital. Her grandchildren have fond memories of summers spent with Grandma at the family cottage in Turkey Point and at the home on Lisgar where any and all were welcomed. After leaving nursing, Lenora dedicated many hours to local community activities including Arc Industries, T.D.M.H. Auxiliary, the Extravaganza Fund Raising Event for T.D.M.H and the U.C.W. chapter of Avondale Zion United Church. In keeping with Lenora’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place when restrictions allow. Memorial donations to either T.D.M.H or Avondale Zion United Church would be appreciated by the family.
