1939-2021
Saturday, July 17th, 2021, at his
residence at the age of 82, passed away Mr.
Léandre Guitard of Eel River Crossing,
partner of Annette Smith. He was the son of the late Rosanna
(born Hachey) and the late Delphis Guitard.
Beside his partner Annette, he will be sadly missed by his
son Tony (Hazel Rosengren) of Belledune; his step children :
Sylvie (Rick Splude) of Dalhousie, Robert (Sylvette Pelletier) of Eel
River Crossing and Nicole of Campbellton; his grandchildren :
Stéphanie, Jonathan, Michael, Scott and Kevin; his brothers
and sisters : Émile (Georgette) of Chibougamau,
Philippe of Eel River Crossing, Walter of Montréal, Martina
of Montréal and Marie of St-John, NB; also by many members
of the Smith family, nieces, nephews and
friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, and many brothers and
sisters.
Léandre had many interests including being a proud
member of the local Nights of Columbus organization, playing guitar,
gardening, carpentry, and spending time at his camp. He was
a very creative person who enjoyed a challenge and always found a
solution.
Funeral mass will be held in the Ste-Trinité
Church, Eel River Crossing, on Wednesday, July
21st at 03:00 pm. Respecting Mr.
Léandre Guitard’s wishes, there will be no
visitation at the funeral home. A donation to the Heart
& Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the
family.
