POLOWSKI
It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of our father, Lawrence Nickolas (Larry)
Polowski, born August 30, 1951 and taken Friday, January 15, 2021.
Dad was born and raised in Current River after high school Dad went on to work at United Grain Growers
until retirement after 30 years of service.
Dad was known for his quick wit and having an answer for everything! Whether you have known him for years
or just met,he always left you with a lasting impression, he was a man with the kindest heart, genuine smile,
a twinkle in his eye.
Dad grew up enjoying the game of golf at Strathcona Golf Course, which he enjoyed into adulthood. He also had a passion for playing hockey at a young age. As he got older he took up coaching and taught his son Richard to play the game, while teaching Rae-Ann the basic’s of ringette. In the early years Dad enjoyed the outdoors and the many hunting and fishing trips with family and friends, growing up we always looked forward to our summer holidays, renting a cabin by the lake. Dad enjoyed many summers in his trailer at Amber Lite Resort, making long lasting friendships and memories. And everyone knew where the “Wolf Den” was, there was always a cold one waiting for you. He loved going out blueberry picking, keeping Arline busy making him blueberry cheesecake. Dad’s other passion was his garden and always making sure Alexa and Sophia had their fill of carrots.Your definitely going to be missed by us all, we love you with all our heart. May you rest in peace Dad.
Larry is survived by his son Richard, Daughter Rae-Ann (James) Terrace, B.C., Brother Gary (Brenda), Niece
Lyndy-Lee (Steve) Bryce and Bryon, Nephew Gary (Kelly) Alexa and Sophia, special cousin Arline (Aki),
