Lawrence Larry Dufour Saturday July 24th 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lawrence “Larry” Dufour. He will be greatly missed by his large family and many friends. Predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Shirley (nee Shea). Loving father of Alan (Maureen), Kevin (Jennifer Magwood), Cathy (Darrin Knight), Joanne (Stuart Jolliffe), and Sandy (Tim Bayne). Cherished Grandpa of Patrick (Michelle), Laura (Tyler Renner), Kathryn, Megan (Colin Black), Andrew, Jenna, Erik, Kiera, Kaelan, Teagan, and Great-Grandpa to Jordyn Shirley and Alexander Lawrence.
A pillar in the Chelsea community, including St. Stephen’s Church and Larrimac Golf Course, Larry dedicated his life to helping others. His 84 years were filled with wonderful adventures and incredible accomplishments, but what mattered to him most was his family, friends and community. His smile, laughter, hugs and beautiful soul will live on in the hearts of everyone he met.
Due to pandemic restrictions, a private funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, September 4th, 2021 at St. Stephen’s Church, Chelsea, Qc. Live streaming link of the Memorial Mass will be available here shortly.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Larry’s memory, to the Quail house or La Maison des Collines would be appreciated. A special thank you to the staff at the Civic Hospital, Ottawa Heart Institute and Bruyere Continuing Care.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Lawrence Larry Dufour Saturday July 24th 2021..
