Obituary
Leaving behind many broken hearts, Lawrence “Larry” David Lucas of Iona Station passed away at STEGH August 11, 2021 in his 73rd year after a short but aggressive battle with cancer. Loved husband of 35 years to his best friend and soul mate Audrey. Dearly loved father of Laurie[Martin] , Nicole[Jeff], Wayne, Colleen [late Mark], Stefanie[Rob]. Best Grandpa, and dearly missed by his 8 grandchildren. Cherished big brother to Mary[late John], Bill[Cindy] ,Rick[Dorothy], Kim[Steve]. . Fondly remembered by a number of nieces and nephews and cousins. Sadly missed by Uncle Arn and Aunt Lynne. Predeceased by his parents Ivan [2019] and Eleanor[2021] Lucas. Larry enjoyed attending music recitals and lacrosse with his granddaughters and lacrosse hockey and soccer with his grandsons. Larry worked at McMillan Bathhurst and retired from Dana Chatham in 2015. After retirement he worked part- time side by side with Audrey at Voyageur and Canada Post Rural Mail .Delivery. Rescue dogs brought joy and companionship for Larry over the years. For many years he played hockey and baseball in St Thomas but Larry’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. A private family service will be held at a later date.
