Obituary
Peacefully on Sunday, December 26, 2021 Lawrence Berard entered his final rest at the age of 78 years. So when his last breath left him, I could only thank God for this victory. He is free, no pain, no cold, no hunger, nothing that challenges us in our life will ever affect him again.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Joan Berard (nee Bartlette); children Lucien (Wanda) Berard, Claudette (Ed) Schmidtke and Yvonne (Mike) Poholski; grandchildren Rouchelle (Ken), John (Danielle), Kathy (Andrew), Xidane, Adam, Shalayna, Dawn, Kitra, Kolby and Kaylesha; great-grandchildren Addisen, Micah, Talia and Adaline; sisters Agnes Normand and Alma Deurdrouck; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Lawrence was a very hard working man, and always had food on our table. He used to blow me away with his wisdom. He seldom had to call a repair man; he always figured it out himself. Lawrence was an excellent carpenter and electrician. So much could be said, but not long before his death, he invited Jesus into his life. He was completely transformed into a new creature. It was mind blowing to me, to see how God changed him.
Rest in peace Lawrence, I will be okay, God is in control! Thank you all, for your prayer, support and be assured when you need my prayers.. I will pray.. Blessings on you all.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in Lawrence’s memory to the Den 205, 205 Hespeler Ave, Winnipeg, MB R2L 0L5.
A tree will be planted in memory and cared for by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel. www.mckenziesportagefuneralchapel.com
