Laurie was called to be with the Creator on December 8, 2021 at the age of 53. She is survived by her loving husband Albert Longman; Son: James (Lorraine); Daughters: Lindsey, Cheryl (Andrew), Alberta-Rose (jon); Grandsons: Evan, Lyrik, Quinn, and Isaac; Granddaughters: Maliyah, Karis, Kienna. Siblings Celine Pewapsconias (Gary); Darcy Bear, Bruce Bear; Numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and adopted brothers, sisters, children and grandchildren. Laurie is predeceased by her daughter Martha Bear. Her Maternal grandparents Robert and Martha Muskwa. Paternal grandparents Alfred and Ida Bear. Siblings; Elizabeth Johannson, Judy Bear, Patrica Bear, Gerald Bear, Leslie Bear, Kenny, Charlotte and Sylvia.
Wake will be held Friday December 10, 2021 beginning at 4:00 p.m. In the Old School Gym, George Gordon First Nation. Funeral Services will be held the following day, Saturday December 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. In the same location. She will be laid to rest in the Longman Family Cemetery, George Gordon First Nation. Children are a gift from the Creator, therefore we ask for no children to be in attendance.
COVID-19 masking protocols will apply and please refrain from the use of tobacco inside the facility.
