Laurence Larry Vincent Burtt 2021

Laurence (Larry) Vincent Burtt, husband of Carol (McKinnon) Burtt of Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Monday at the age of 77.
Born in Lower Stone Ridge, Burtts Corner, NB, he was the son of the late Willis and Mary (McCann) Burtt.
He taught school in Quebec and NB, mostly at Harkins Junior High in Miramichi, where he was Math Dept. Head.
He had a passion and natural ability for carpentry and worked on many projects for family and friends. After retiring, he spent his time doing what he loved most – maintaining and upgrading the summer home in Burtts Corner, which he and his father had built many years ago.
He was a past President of the Newcastle Kinsmen Club and a member of K-40.
Besides his wife, Carol, he is survived by his son, Vincent Burtt (Kim Harding) of Russellville; his daughter Amy Burtt of Miramichi; his grandson, Hunter Matchett; his sisters, Shirley Wilkins (late Albert) of Fredericton; Yvonne Burtt of St. Thomas, Ontario; and his brother, Kirby Burtt (Jean) of Fredericton. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Rose Burtt and his brother Sonny Burtt.
At Larry’s request, there will be no Visitation or Funeral Service. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
In his memory, donations to a Memorial of one’s choice would be appreciated.
