Obituary of Larry McCallum
McCallum, Larry of Aylmer, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side, after a six-month long battle with cancer, on Saturday, February 20, 2021 in his 68th year. Cherished husband of Mary McCallum (Donkers), loving father of David McCallum (Jamie), Michael McCallum (Julie-Ann), Teresa Burr (Sean Couch), Andrea Posthumus (Devon), loving Papa to 12 grandchildren and devoted brother and friend to Paul McCallum (Sue). He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Born in St. Thomas, Ontario on March 31, 1953, to the late Jack and Lowana McCallum. Larry began his career at the Elgin Co-Op and expanded his horizons to used oil pick-ups with Oil Canada and Safety-Kleen until his retirement in December 2016. He loved to travel and had enjoyed yearly family camping trips. Larry and Mary enjoyed travelling to the East and West coast of Canada and many cruises throughout their forty-four years of marriage.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, friends and family who wish to attend the visitation at H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Monday, February 22, 2021 in the afternoon and evening. Must call 519-773-8400 to make an appointment. The funeral will only be attended by close family. A livestream of the service will be available for anyone who wishes to attend remotely on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 11 a.m. Donations to the Aylmer Food Bank(EECAP) would be appreciated.
