Larry’s Obituary
Veinotte, Larry David – Age 60, of Nicholsville Kings Co. Our family sadly announces the sudden passing of Larry Veinotte on March 17, 2021. Larry was born, November 21, 1960 in Berwick Nova Scotia. He was the son of Ervine and Rhona (Slauenwhite) Veinotte. Larry was deeply loved by his family and cherished by his many friends. During his childhood he developed a loyalty to all animals, especially horses. He joined the Nicholsville 4-H Club and competed in horse shows. He also enjoyed playing little league and hockey. He attended West Kings District High School and Kings Regional Vocational School. All while beginning to work at the Double “R” Ranch to pay for horse riding lessons, helping in his Uncle Bobby’s auto shop, going on to start official employment with Standard Paving Maritime. Working for 44 years right through Lafarge Canada and now Dexter Construction. Although he was a hard-working man since the age of 16, his true passion was always being there for his family and friends when needed. He found peace when riding a horse, hunting, and attempting to fish, all while listening to country classics in his 1989 GMC truck with his daughter. He will always be the kindhearted man we all knew him as. Larry will be deeply missed by his mom, Rhona (Slauenwhite) and dad, Ervine Veinotte; his beloved daughter and best friend, Larissa “Thumper” (Bailey Campbell) Veinotte; his daughter’s mom, Faye (Smith) Veinotte; brother, Steve; sister, Colleen; nephew, Aaron Veinotte; niece, Ashley “Pokey” Veinotte. He leaves behind a very large family that extends into many provinces and the United States. Larry was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Aubrey and Annie (Watton) Slauenwhite; parental grandparents, Noble and Eva (Hiltz) Veinotte; uncles, Bobby Slauenwhite, Perley, Frederick, and Carson Veinotte; cousin and partner in crime, Donald Currie “Cory” Freeman.
