BOLTON; Lambert Robert “Bob” ~ Born December 6, 1932 in Newtonbrook, Ontario and died peacefully on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg at the age of 88. Bob Bolton was the loving husband of Arlene Alice Bolton (nee Whalen) for 38 years. Devoted and caring father of John (Sue) and Peter (Seo Ryung). Nothing brought more joy in his life than being a Poppa to his three grandchildren Ella, Hannah and Jack Bolton. He will be missed by his wife’s nephews and niece, Stephen, Michael and Joanne Whalen. Predeceased by his parents Lambert and Hilda Bolton (nee Sutterby) and his sisters Joyce Brownless (the late Ted) and Nancy Hand (survived by Michael). Bob will be fondly remembered by teachers who had him as their principal. His whole life was devoted to helping children live up to their true potential. Choosing teachers who had the same goals made for a happy school environment. One mother told Bob even when her son was sick he chose to go to school as he didn’t want to miss activities. He will be remembered throughout the community for the many “Alpha” courses he lead. Bob was a devoted Christian and loved to study the bible and made copious notes. He will be missed by his many friends.
