Death Notice
HUNTER, Kevin – Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Victoria Hospital on Wednesday, November 10, 2021. Kevin Vincent Hunter of London was in his 71st year.
Beloved husband for 47 years of Nancy. Lovingly remembered by his children Mark (Kemi), Matt (April), and Kate (Glen), grandchildren Kole, Cody, Caiden, Lilia, Grayson, Liam, Finnly, Sloane, and Nova. Brother of Liam, Pauline (Jim), Martin (Mary), Colette (Gerry), Rosaleen (Jim), Brian (Linda), Tim (Lynn), Terri (David), John (Hazel), Mairi (David), Mike (Jo), Chris (Elaine). As well as many friends which he considered family from his time as a golf pro and his career in the insurance business.
For those who knew him well, you would find him doing one of his many favourite things:
– Early tee times with friends and time on the range
– Travelling with Nancy to see family and friends and to golf
– Golf cart rides with his grandkids
– Leaving behind Canadian winters to get an early start on golf season
– Family dinners, sometimes at the golf course
– Watching golf, soccer or other favourite shows
– Essentially anything and everything to do with golf
He will always be remembered for his sharp wit, countless tales and making others feel welcome in his presence. Kevin took great pride in the relationships he had with his siblings, children and grandchildren, always making family a priority. As per his request, there will be no funeral; cremation has already taken place. Celebrations of life with Kevin’s friends and family have, and will continue to take place privately as we share many laughs and tears in memory of Kevin. A more public celebration of life will take place in the springtime. The next time you get a chance to tee it up, think of Kev!
We are eternally grateful to the Oncology and Palliative Care departments at Victoria Hospital and the support they provided him in his final days. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the charity of your choice.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Kevin Hunter 2021..
