Passed away peacefully and with family by her side at her home in Phelpston on Monday, January 11, 2021, at the age of 97. Predeceased by her husband Francis Kenney. Much loved mother to Charles (Kathleen), Anne, Mary, the late Ross (survived by Marie), Lisa and Geoff (Heather). She is now reunited with her babies Joseph and Theresa. Loving grandmother to Ryan (Jamie), Melissa (Gavin), Thomas, Kyle, Quinton (Shannon) and great grandmother to Kaitlyn, Madison, Morgan, McKay and Kinley. Dear sister of Charles (Ghislaine) and Guy (Emmy). She is predeceased by siblings Andre (survived by Louise), Beatrice (Joe), Blanche and Solange and her in-laws Anne (Bill), Theresa (Bill), Eileen, Jim (Eileen) and Hugh (Helen). Aunt Claudia will be forever remembered by many nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. In her early years she worked as a Registered Nurse in St. Boniface, Manitoba and at Red Cross Blood Donor Clinic. She is fondly remembered as a French teacher at both St. Patrick’s and Our Lady of Lourdes Schools in later years. Claudia volunteered her time and enjoyed participating with St. Patrick’s CWL (Past President), St. Patrick’s Church Choir (Leader), Elmvale Library Board, Elmvale Food Bank and Flos Woman’s Institute.
A private Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021. Due to restrictions related to the ongoing pandemic you may view the service via YouTube (search: Lynn Stone Funeral Home).
Spring interment will take place at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
