Obituary of Kenneth Blamires
December 12, 1929-March 8, 2021
Slipped away peacefully at Victoria Hospital on March 8, 2021 in his 92nd year.
Ken leaves behind to mourn his loving son and daughter, David and Sandra. Ken was pre-deceased by the love of his life, wife of 62 years, Joan (Kemp) , 2018, his sister Marian Henderson (2019) and his beloved granddaughter Claire (Halko-Blamires) Hamilton (2019).
Ken’s unique sense of humour, intelligence, and his quick wit will be missed by grandchildren Ethan Halko, Julian Blamires, Adrian Blamires and Natalie Blamires. Ken was loved and will always be missed by daughter-in-law Darlene Mignacco. Loved and cherished by niece Kendall Gamble.
Ken is survived by his brother Rodney Blamires (Margaret) in Bradford, Yorkshire. Nieces and nephews in the Blamires and O’Connor families will always remember “Uncle Kenny”’s love of life, laughter, and family (and a pint of bitter!)
Ken’s legacy is that every soul he met in his 91 years genuinely liked and loved him.
Very special thanks to the SW LHIN teams, both in and out of hospital for their guidance and support. Thanks also to LHSC nursing, medical teams, and PSWs for support provided during Ken’s journey. As per his wishes, Ken has been cremated.
Donations in Ken’s name can be made to the SW LHIN, Joan’s favourite charity Operation Smile, or a charity of choice.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Kenneth
