Kenneth Pruitt – age 86 of Knoxville passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021. Kenneth was a member and Chairman of the Deacon Board at Paw Paw Hollow Baptist Church. He was a retired mine inspector for MSHA Mine Safety and Health Administration.
Preceded in death by parents, Boyd and Zelma Pruitt; and brother, Harold Pruitt.
Survived by the love of his life and wife of 63 years, Betty Underwood Pruitt; children, Debbie Escala and Jeff (Karen) Pruitt; grandchildren, Morgan Pruitt, Hope Smith (Dalton Walters), and Kaleigh (Chase) Scobee; brothers, Hugh (Carolyn) Pruitt and Leland “Bud” Pruitt; sister, Sandy Pruitt; brothers-in-law, Raymond (Shirley) Underwood, Kyle (Sandy) Underwood, and Bobby (Alice) Underwood; and sisters-in-law, Lois (Arnold) Dugger and Wanda Clifton Duke.
The family will receive friends 1:00-3:00 PM Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Paw Paw Hollow Baptist Church with the funeral service at 3:00 PM with Rev. Ronnie White officiating followed by the interment at the church cemetery. Pallbearers: Eric Allison, Tim Riley, Mike Graham, Don Watson, Conard Langston, and C.L. Pate.
