Kempton’s Obituary
Brannen, Kempton “Trent” – 58, of Wood’s Harbour, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 7, at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born on April 25, 1963 he was the son of the late Clarence and Frances (Nickerson) Brannen. Trent was a loving partner, father, brother, brother-in-law, son-in-law, uncle and friend. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him. Trent had a kind heart; he would give his shirt off his back to help others. He loved to play grocery bingo with family and friends. Trent in his later years could be found in Barrington, Shelburne, Yarmouth and even going as far as Liverpool to sell fish. Trent also could be found out in his barn building his garbage boxes with anyone willing to help. He has built close to 300 in the past 10 years. Anyone who met up with Trent along his travels, would always be greeted with a smile on his face and ready for a good yarn and laugh, even when he wasn’t feeling well himself. Trent is survived by his common-law-partner, Elizabeth of 40 years; sons, Thomas and Kempton; sisters, Sheila Symonds (Ray), Roxane Brannen (Willard), Mary Goreham (Darryl) and Valerie Brannen (Rob); many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the EHS and the Renal Dialysis nurses. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 10 from 6-8 pm at the H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. Due to Covid 19 restrictions proof of vaccination will be required to attend the visitation. Trent’s celebration of life service will be an invite only service held Thursday, November 11, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jason Parker officiating. The service will be livestream for those unable to attend. Memorial donations may be made to the Yarmouth Hospital Dialysis Unit or any charity of choice. Online condolences may be sent to huskilson@ns.aliantzinc.ca or you may sign the guest book at www.huskilson.net
