Obituary of Keith Edgar Lowthers
It is with great sadness that we announce Keith’s passing on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the age of 84. Born on January 27, 1937, in Truro, he was a son of the late Margaret (Lowthers) Ettinger.
In his early years, Keith had a great love and appreciation for William and Sadie Harvie and family. He spent many years involved in excavation and trucking and he enjoyed carpentry. He also loved camping, long scenic drives, photography and maple syrup brewing with the Murphy and Penny families.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, the former Frances Pemberton; daughter, Deanna (Eugene Kynock); sons, Larry (Linda) and Stephen; grandchildren, Holly, Joey, Josh, Amanda, Kristin and Karin; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Peyton, Emma, Allie, Karissa and Deshawn; sisters, Barb (Lorne) Etter, Donna (Ron) Barkhouse, Wanda (Wayne) Barr, Rowena (Moe) Mosher; brother-in-law, Brian Gallettley.
Besides his parents, Keith was predeceased by his stepfather, Russell Ettinger; sisters, Sylvia (Wayne) Kehoe and Thelma Gallettley.
Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where a private invite only funeral service will take place in January with Rev. Tom Henderson officiating. Please note: Proof of COVID-19 double vaccination and identification must be presented upon arrival and masks are required.
