Keith Tong Saturday December 25th 2021

Tong, Ronald Keith
It is with great sorrow, that the family of Keith Tong announces his sudden passing at age 80 on Saturday, December 25, 2021, in Brampton. He was raised by his mother Mabel Tong (née Ryder) and Grandmother Frances Emma Tong (née Brook), both predeceased in Ripon, North Yorkshire, UK. His father was Ronald Herbert Tong (predeceased) who served in the British Royal Navy. Keith leaves behind his beloved family, son Darren Tong and his wife Laura Tong (née Leroux), precious grandchildren Trenton Tong and Delena Tong, including his favourite doggy Teddy from Hillsburgh, Ontario. From the Isle of Wight, UK, dear brother Ronald Pilbeam, his late wife Jacqueline Pilbeam, and nieces & nephews. Keith will be sadly missed by his former wife and friend Jocelyne Bouchard as well as Laura’s mom, Yvonne Leroux-Mulroy and brother, Michael Bennett Leroux. In the hearts of the Borghese, Kyle, and Leonard families, he will be remembered as a father/grandfather figure in their lives. He was a world traveller with many stories to share, passionate about 50s/60s rock music, European football and took every opportunity to talk about how proud he is of his ‘angel’ grandchildren. As Grandad Keith would say, “Keep on Rockin’ & Rollin’!”
Dods & McNair Funeral Home in Orangeville will host a private, invitation-only Celebration of Life.
In lieu of flowers, donations to kidsportcanada.ca/ontario/orangeville-district/donate/ would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Ronald in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville.
Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
