Kathleen Kay Pinder 2021

The family of Kathleen “Kay” Margaret (Treadwell) Pinder wish to announce her passing Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the age of 84. She was predeceased by her husband John “Jack” Pinder. Born in Newcastle, NB, she was the daughter of the late William and Sarah (Muzerall) Treadwell.
Kay enjoyed singing in the choir at St. James and St. John United Church. She worked for many years at the Newcastle Medical Clinic. People often recognized Kay and her friendly smile when she would be out and about walking, shopping, biking, or skating. She never passed up the opportunity for a good game of cards, whether it was with her ladies card club, bridge club, or anyone willing to take her on. Kay loved to have friends and family in her home whether they came from afar or lived nearby. She loved the laughter. We will miss her “Friday Night French Fry Night,” her Gagnon “Packer Buns” after the hockey games, and the chips on the back of the den couch. Gone are the fun times of hiding that rubber lizard in beds, drawers, toilets, and fridges. Kay also loved spending time with her precious grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Kay is survived by four children: Eddie Pinder (Jane) of Miramichi, NB, Tracy Taylor (Ken) of Upper Tantallon, NS, Peter Pinder (Kelly) of Miramichi, NB, Joanne Arbeau (Duane) of Barnettville, NB; one sister Geraldine Cabel of Toronto, ON; one brother Bill Treadwell (Linda) of Miramichi, NB; sisters-in-law Mavis Goodman of Quesnel, BC and Elizabeth Mahler (Norbert) of Sault Ste. Marie, ON; six grandchildren: Jordan Pinder (Vanessa), Deirdre Aubie (Evan), Robert Pinder (Natalie Comeau), Lance Taylor (Jessica), Jacob Taylor (Brooke) and Katie Taylor (Josh Haase); nine great grandchildren: Theo, Chloe and Skylar Pinder, Jett and Nolan Aubie, Remy and Arlie Taylor, Emmi Pinder, and Ben Taylor, her lifelong friend Joan Mahoney, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents and husband Jack, Kay is predeceased by infant brother Beverly, sister Connie Good, and brothers-in-law Wentie Good, Hugh Goodman. and Graham Cabel.
