Kathleen’s Obituary
NEW GLASGOW – Kathleen Harriet “Kay” Coleman, RN, 93, New Glasgow, passed away peacefully, Sunday, August 22, 2021.
Born in River Philip, she was a daughter, the youngest child, of the late Albert Richard and Lillian Edna (Cobb) McLellan. Kay graduated from the former Victoria General Hospital School of Nursing, Halifax, in 1949. She was dearly loved by her family.
Surviving are daughter, Deborah (Dr. Michael) Glasgow and their children, Alex, Kathleen, and Elizabeth, Tatamagouche; sons, Mark (Mary-Frances) Coleman and their children, Ian and Meghan, Bedford; Glen Coleman and his children, Ben and Abi, New Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, David Edwin Coleman; sister, Helen Smith; brothers, Benjamin (killed in action, 1942), Cyril (killed in action, 1943), Donald, Arthur,
Kathleen’s family will honour her life privately. Donations may be made in Kathleen’s memory to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Canada or any charity of choice.
The Coleman family wish to express their appreciation to The Mira nursing staff for the excellent care she received over the past five years.
