Obituary for Justine Lindsay
Justine Lindsay, a lifetime resident of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2021, at the age of 89. Justine was the loving mother of Alan (Julie) Lindsay and Carol (Larry) VanRuymbeke. She was the cherished grandmother of Kari (Steve) Marin, Kristy Lindsay, Tara (Greg) Stapleton, and Tanya (Greg) Marcolin. She was known as ‘GG’ to her great grandchildren: Carter, Sierra, Morgan, Kyla, Hudson, Leevi, Blake and Tyler. Justine was the daughter, of the late, Leon and Urbonnie Waekens. She was predeceased by her sister Denise (Mike) Trella and brothers Andrew, Frank (Rosemary) and Camiel (Mary) Waekens. Justine will always be remembered as an independent, strong and caring woman. She loved spending quality time with her family and friends, enjoyed reading, dancing, shopping, the occasional slot machine and travel throughout her lifetime.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg. A private graveside service will be held at Riverview Cemetery, in Wallaceburg, at a later date. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Lung Health Foundation may be left at the funeral home by calling 519.627.3231.
