Judith Reid 2021

On the evening of September 13, 2021 our world lost a shining light and heaven gained a beautiful angel, our beloved mother Judy Reid. Surrounded by family, prayers and love, Judy was called home to be with God. She reunites with her loving parents in heaven John and Theresa Reid, her siblings Gregory Reid, Barbara Morel, David Reid, and Junior Reid, who she missed so much and spoke about in her final days. Loving mother to Lori Paul (Peter Vellow), Ricky Paul (Nancy Pellerin), and Shelley Ransom (Chris Ransom). Fun and Loving Grandmother to Morgan, Bailey, Dalton, Chase, Kaitlyn and Karley. Great Grandmother to Trenton. Survived by her siblings, Kathy (Alfred), Donna, Debby (Conrad), Keith (Anne), Patsy, Nancy (Jerry), Brenda (Eric), Cindy (Pete) and Mark (Laura). She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. You all hold memories and stories that will forever keep her in our hearts.
Judy was born and raised in Sudbury Ontario and grew up in Minnow Lake as one of fourteen siblings. Her unique ability to bring comfort and acceptance, love and kindness to all those around her was a true blessing. Her smile was infectious and her laugh was contagious and she had courage and strength and faith like no other. She will forever be remembered as an amazing cook who put great care and love into each dish. She spent many years providing daycare out of her home and also enjoyed hairdressing. So many beautiful friends from her years in Florida will forever miss her and fondly recall the many memories they shared. She enjoyed volunteering on recreation committees in Florida and was also a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed many years out at Minemill Camp and operated the Canteen there at one time as well. Special thanks to Dr. Spadafora, Nurse Louise in oncology, homecare nurse Cindy, SAH nurses Meg, Taylor and Tina and all of Judy’s “team” who rushed in to offer support and care. Mom, you taught us to let go and let God. Letting God is the easy part, letting go will be a forever journey. With all our Love forever, you were so brave. A funeral mass will take place September 21, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Redeemer Church, Sudbury. A limit of 150 attendees will be permitted, masks will be mandatory and all social distancing guidelines must be respected. A celebration of life will take place following the interment at 45 Wilfred St. off of Bancroft in Minnow Lake. As per Judy’s wishes floral arrangements can be sent to Holy redeemer and mass cards would be appreciated.
