Obituary
Joyce Peterson (nee Smith), age 62, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Clover House, Swift Current, SK. Joyce will be sadly missed by her husband, Dale; their children, Jaime (Cleve) Erickson and Tanner (Brandi) Peterson; and their grandchildren, Kate and Alex Erickson and Hudson, Ashlyn, and Brooks Peterson. She will be fondly remembered by her mother, Jean Smith; her mother-in-law, June Peterson; her sister, Norma (Ralph) Stock; her sister-in-law, Judy (Wayne) Landstrom; and by her many family members and friends.
Joyce Alida (Smith) Peterson was born September 1, 1958 in Cabri, SK and grew up in Abbey, SK. Joyce loved camping, travelling, volunteering, visiting with friends, and most importantly, spending time with her family. She loved being a Grandma (Gma as her grandkids called her) and would do anything for them. Joyce was a dedicated wife, mom, grandma, daughter, sister, and friend to all. She was hard working, honest, brave, and always stayed positive. She will be missed, but her memory will be carried on forever.
Joyce’s family would like to thank everyone who sent condolences, cards, food, flowers, and donations in her memory.
Joyce’s life will be honoured with a Private Family Graveside Service. In memory of Joyce Peterson, donations made to the Abbey Arena (Box 210, Abbey, SK, S0N 0A0) would be appreciated by the family.
