Obituary of Joseph LeRoy Coleman
Coleman, Joseph LeRoy “Bug”– 84 of Hampton, Annapolis County, passed away on October 11, 2021, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Middleton, he was a son of the late Lee (Early) (from Margaretsville) and the late Spurgeon “Spinks” Coleman (from Nictaux). In Joe’s early years he joined the army, and was stationed in Camp Borden, Ontario for eight years. For 35 years he was a truck driver, working for United Van Lines. Joe and his wife Carolyn spent 33 years making memories. He loved to hunt and fish; spending time with his friends and loved his family very much. Joe is survived by his loving wife Carolyn (Rockey); father of four children, Jody Coleman; Joe Coleman, Carole Richey, all of Winnipeg and Susan, Out West; one stepdaughter, Kathy Foss, Barrie, Ontario; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Phillip (Gail) Coleman, Kingston, NS.; sisters, Barbara Friedle, Hamilton, Ontario; Deborah Johnston, Barrie, Ontario and Betty Mason, Kingston, NS. Joe was predeceased by brothers, Max Coleman, Barrie, Ontario and Brenton Coleman, North Bay. In keeping with Joe’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. A small gathering will take place at a later date.
