Obituary of John McBride
We are heartbroken to announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father John, on February 11th in his 99th year. He now joins his cherished wife Clara (2020). He is survived by his children David (Danielle), their children Jamie (Jung Ha), Anna (Kevin), Katie (Chris); Carol Legare (late Gerry) and their children Gerry (Jennifer), Jennifer (Blair), late Allison, John (Jennifer); John (Bea) and their children Mollie (Andrew), Meghan (late Scott), John (Lena), and 15 great-grandchildren. John was a loving and supportive father and grandpa and enjoyed getting together for family celebrations. He is survived by his sister Madeline Fothergill and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Annie, Margaret, Jean, Betty and brother Alexander, sisters-in-law Olive, Grace and Dorothy. He was a long time employee of International Harvester in the Printing Dept. John was a devoted and active member of the Anglican Church of St. Mary’s and Church of the Nativity. Special thanks to the staff of 8 West at Hamilton General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Church of the Nativity, 1831 King St. E. Hamilton L8K 1V8. At John’s request, cremation has taken place and a family service will be held in the near future. Notes of sympathy and condolences may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
