Obituary of John Loucks
Our loving husband, father, grandfather and friend has passed peacefully at the age of 90 at Luther Village on the Park in Waterloo, Ontario on February 19, 2021.
Wallace John Loucks was born in Tillsonburg, son to the late Edward and Edith Loucks, and grew up in Port Burwell, Ontario. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Joan (nee Bennett), his children Scot (Michele Fish), Craig (Dale), Kurt, Karen Wilson (Paul Clasper), and grandchildren Jennifer, Robin, Samantha (Otto), David, Thomas, Nicole and Kiefer.
John was a respected member of the business community who retired from the Presidency at Kaufman Footwear in 1997. He was an avid curler and golfer who loved family, travel, animals, nature and most of all, a good laugh. He will be remembered fondly for his sense of humour – a trait so strong in him that even Alzheimer’s could not take it away.
Special thanks to the Luther Village PSWs and Nursing staff who went above and beyond during a pandemic, to keep him safe, healthy and comfortable.
