Wood, John William (Retired City Planner, Member of ¼ Century Club, Completed 18 years in a career as a Real Estate Sales Representative and Professional Planner). Passed away on Sunday, September 26th, 2021 at St. Joseph’s at Fleming, at the age of 77. John is survived by his loving wife, Maureen Wood, of 54 years. Proud father of Kevin, Charmaine, Martin, and Trevor (Kim) Wood. Brother of Nancy (Graham Auger) of B.C., and Keith (Linda) Wood of Brampton, Ontario. Grandfather of Kaylee, Camden, Noah, Chase, and Mercedes. John will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He was an active member of the Parkinson’s Foundation in Peterborough and enjoyed volunteering in scouting, coaching, gardening, and was a very active member of the church. DUE TO COVID 19 REGULATIONS, REGISTRATION FOR VISITATION AND SERVICE IS REQUIRED: Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 6th, 2021 from 12:30- 1:00 PM, and 1:15- 1:45 PM at Ashburnham Funeral Home (840 Armour Road, Peterborough) with A Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to view John’s Celebration of Life online. Registration and the livestream link can be found on John’s obituary page through the funeral home at www.AshburnhamFuneral.ca. In memory of John, donations can be made to the Parkinson Canada- Peterborough/Kawartha Lakes Chapter, or Grace United Church- Peterborough through the funeral home and online.
