1948-2021
HARCOURT, NB – John Scott, 73, of Harcourt passed
away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at home on Saturday,
December 11th, 2021. Born in Harcourt, he was
the son of the late Percy and Alice (Beers) Scott. Before retiring,
John worked as a track maintenance laborer for CN Rail. He was a past
member of the Harcourt Royal Canadian Legion Branch #75, served as a
volunteer firefighter in Harcourt and loved fishing and
hunting.
John leaves to mourn his loving wife, Lorraine (Wry) Scott;
his three daughters, Dorraine Ferguson (Kevin) of Harcourt, Amanda
Scott (Matt) of Moncton and Jolene Scott (Troy) of Lower Coverdale; as
well as his five grandchildren, Lacey, Tristen, Konner, Keiren and
Rowan.
John will also be sadly missed by his sister, Verna Ermen
(late Walter) of Bass River; two brothers, Winston (Alverna) of
Moncton and Evan (Sherry) of Riverview; as well as many nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his grandson,
Devin; two sisters, Kathleen and Dawn Marie; and four brothers, David,
Vincent, Gary and Eric.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home,
Richibucto on Wednesday from 11:00am to 1:00pm ONLY. The funeral
service will be held on Wednesday, December
15th, 2021 at 2:00pm, Thompson’s
Funeral Home Chapel, Richibucto.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude for
the excellent care that was provided to John by the extra mural nurses
and staff.
Following provincial COVID-19 regulations, visitors will be
required to provide proof of double COVID-19 vaccination and
government issued ID at the funeral home, masks are mandatory and we
ask that social distancing is respected.
