Obituary
John Michael Deane
June 5, 1945 – October 26, 2021
John was a devoted husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and friend to many.
Born in Liverpool, England, John served as a police officer on the beat in Liverpool and later in New Westminster, BC, Canada.
John had the gift of humour and there was seldom a humourless moment when he was around. He will always be remembered for his unwavering honesty, integrity, and one-liner jokes and the laughter he evoked from everyone who met him, right until the end.
He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends, both in England and Canada.
Our deepest gratitude goes out to the exceptional team at Kelowna Hospice House for their loving care and support through such a difficult time. We will continue to smile and laugh in John’s memory and will always remain grateful that we were so fortunate that he touched our lives.
A celebration of John’s life will be held in Liverpool in the summer of 2022.
Arrangements are in the care of Everden Rust Funeral Services & Crematorium,
West Kelowna Arrangement Centre (250-768-8925).
