John Kevin Morris
1943-2021
John Kevin Morris, aged 78, passed peacefully and surrounded
by his family on May 26, 2021.
Beloved husband of Ruth (nee Toombs) and father to Bethany
(Alexander), brother-in-law to Peter (deceased), Billy (deceased;
Monica), Eric (Dale), Ed, Wendell (Pauline), Everett (Theresa), Joey
(Paula), John, Harry (Cathy), Bernie (Vince), Pat, Ebbie and uncle to
many nieces and nephews. Kevin was predeceased by his parents Patrick
and Alyce (Pineau) Morris, his brothers Brian (Virginia) and David
(Marie), and sisters Patricia and Betty Ann.
Born and raised in Charlottetown, Kevin spent his youth as a
cadet before he became a Language Arts teacher at Birchwood Junior
High School for over 30 years. The family would like to extend their
heartfelt gratitude to the many friends and family who supported Kevin
and his family, with special thanks to Troy Gauthier and
Kevin’s neighbours on Queen street, as well as the kind and
compassionate home care and palliative workers in Charlottetown. An
avid lover of animals, desired memorials to Kevin can be made to the
PEI Humane Society
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral
Home. Due to current restrictions a funeral service (by invitation
only) will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service
will be available for viewing via live stream on Saturday, may 29th at
2:00 p.m. by visiting Kevin’s obituary at www.islandowned.ca. On-line
