John Juskiw Saturday August 28th 2021

John passed away in Hospice Peterborough Saturday August 28, 2021. He was surrounded by his loving wife, family and children. Devoted husband to Joyce (nee Fry) of 55 years. Loving Father to Christina (predeceased) Karen and Johnnie (Adele). A fun-loving Wonderful Poppa to his grand children Devon, Jessie, Mya, Lola and great grand children Isla and Oliver. Son of the late Michelina and Nicholas Juskiw. Brother of Genia (predeceased 2020). Uncle John to many nieces and nephews.
He loved his career as a Lithographer and reminisced proudly of his work. Since that time, he could be found in the kitchen making his infamous Poppa Buns and other delectable treats or in the garden tending to his “millions” of tomatoes and hot peppers. His joy of cooking and creating beautiful meals for his family will truly be missed. In addition, the annual Christmas gingerbread traditions with his Grandchildren will be carried on with bowls of candy, icing and sweets for ever more in honour. He was always available to help and drop his hat in a second to do so for his family. John was born in Belgium, but Canada is his home. He has given us many wonderful memories that will be treasured in our hearts forever.
In honouring John’s wishes, he has already been cremated and no funeral will be arranged.
No words can express our sincere appreciation and gratitude for Dr Beamish, and the elite caring and compassionate healthcare professionals/support staff at Hospice Peterborough. You have touched our family’s hearts in the last weeks.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Peterborough in honour of John.
