John Joseph Drake Tuesday December 7th 2021

It is with deep sadness that the family of the late John Drake of Marystown announces his passing. John passed away at the Dr. LA. Miller Center in St. John’s on Tuesday, December 7th, 2021 at the age of 68.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife, Leona of 46 years; son, Travis Drake (Allison) of Fort McMurray; daughter, Rhonda Grandy (Jason) of Marrietta, Georgia; 4 grandchildren, Kayleigh, Jake, Amelia, and Reid; his mother, Alice Drake of Marystown; sisters, Sharon McFee (Charlie) of ON, Ann Marie Walsh (Art) of Marystown, Genevieve Murphy (Adrian) of Little Bay, and Yvonne Murphy (Melvin) of Parker’s Cove; brothers, Gerry Drake (Elise Bolt) of Rushoon, Gordon Drake Jr. (Donna) of ON, and Dwayne Drake (Sunshine) of AB; plus a large number of family and friends.
John was predeceased by his father, Gordon Drake; sister, Lisa Goncalves; parents-in-law, Edward and Alice Miller.
The Drake Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Marystown on Friday, December10th from:
10am-Noon
2-4pm
7-9pm
Please note, masks must be worn in the funeral home at all times and everyone will have to present their VaxPass to enter the building and due to covid-19 regulations, no food is permitted in the funeral home.
Funeral Mass will take place at Sacred Heart Roman catholic Church in Marystown on Saturday, December 11th, 2021 at 10:30am.
In John’s memory donations may be made to The Drake Family.
